Being a trainee has allowed me to interact with young people and demonstrate my passion for learning and history.  It has been fast paced and has really allowed me to integrate as a teacher from the offset. I really enjoyed the training I received – it was up to date, relevant and allowed us to reflect and critique new research and pedagogical theories.

One of the benefits of choosing a Teacher Training route was feeling I was a valued part of the science team right from the start rather than a ‘visiting trainee’. I was able to gain QTS and a PGCE qualification but this was all done through Landau Forte Teacher Training – the best of both worlds! The support I received from my mentor, subject knowledge tutor and Teacher Training team was invaluable and tailored to my own progress.  I chose Landau Forte Teacher Training as I was impressed by the positive relationships between staff and students on my visits and I have not been disappointed. The support that is constantly offered by everyone I come into contact with has been fantastic. The quality of the Subject Knowledge sessions is excellent. It is completely personalised and is therefore relevant to our own planning and experiences.

The staff are extremely supportive and ensure that all trainees are offered helpful guidance from mentors, subject specialist tutors and outside agencies to become successful teachers. The year will be hard but it will be worth it in the end, the team will make sure you flourish in your chosen career.

The Teacher Training course is 100% the best way into teaching. The framework of learning and the level of support is fantastic; working with mentors and building up your teaching skills and timetable throughout the year. Trainees get to spread their wings and experience the environment of another school during a second contrasting placement after Christmas, before returning to their main placement to complete the course. I can’t recommend Landau Forte Teacher Training enough. If you are considering it, do it!

The reason I chose Landau and the Landau Forte Teacher Training route was due to the fact it offered me a chance to be fully involved in the school’s community and feel a real part of a subject department from the outset. I have had the chance to witness a variety of teaching styles which has helped me to form my own. This, coupled with various opportunities for new experiences, has helped me to become a fully-fledged teacher in such a brilliant school environment.

I have been grateful to Landau for the opportunity of training here, I have been trained on many a part of the education system from the subject knowledge itself to the pastoral side. My mentoring has been absolutely fantastic, incredibly rigorous but so supportive, I have never felt in the dark or as though I am on my own.

During the ITT program, I gained valuable, hands-on experiences that helped me feel confident in the classroom. I was able to work closely with experienced mentors, received practical teaching advice and personalised feedback which allowed me to grow and shape me into the teacher I am today. The program gave me the tools I needed, from managing a classroom, to using different teaching methods, all so I was fully prepared to make a difference teaching future students.

I really enjoyed my training year. It was brilliant to be taught teaching practice and theory by such kind and thoughtful experts in the field. My mentor was excellent and helped me to skill up at a pace which worked well for me. I felt supported and challenged and I learned so much.  I would highly recommend this method of training to teach.

At Landau Forte, I trained to be a Religious Studies teacher and received incredible support throughout the process. The team was always attentive, particularly when it came to pastoral care and well-being, ensuring that I felt confident and supported every step of the way- They was always available to listen and support. The subject knowledge sessions were invaluable, diving deep into areas that I now regularly apply in my teaching. Being part of such a dedicated and collaborative team made a real difference, and it was an experience that has shaped my career in education. Working with the best colleagues in the East Midlands truly made it exceptional!
