Time spent as a youth worker and teaching in Burundi, made me keen to teach in order to help provide others with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed. I have really enjoyed the experience of teaching over the last year and the range of different experiences the course has provided. I’m especially grateful to have been able to have spent so much time in the classroom and for the insightful and helpful feedback my mentors and class teachers have consistently provided. I am also grateful to have learnt to teach in an environment that stresses the importance of inclusive teaching and that recognises the power of education to promote opportunity, equality and diversity.
